Zines (pronounced “zeens”) are handmade mini magazines with a long tradition as tools for activism and self-expression. In this hands-on session, you will learn how to fold, cut, and assemble a simple zine from a single sheet of paper, then bring it to life with your own words and art. Drawing inspiration from Black stories, achievements, and culture in honor of Black History Month, you will create something personal and powerful using pens, markers, collage materials, and more.
