Bring a book, grab a chair, and help Chester read 350 pages in just 60 minutes!
Join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Tau Delta Omega Chapter at the J. Lewis Crozer Library for Chester Reads!, a community reading challenge held as part of the chapter’s 35th Anniversary celebration and centered on the joy of reading, literacy, and coming together as a community.
Bring a book and a lawn chair or blanket, find a comfortable spot outside, and add your pages to the community goal of 350 pages read in 60 minutes. Younger readers, from infants through age 8, can head inside for a special Storybook Hour featuring a read-aloud and hands-on activity.
No book? No problem. Stop by the “Borrow One” book cart and find something to read.
Enjoy hot cider, hot chocolate, caramel apples, donuts, raffles, and more from AKA, and stop by the Library table to learn about resources and sign up for a library card.
Every page counts, so come add yours!
