Join us for Chester Voices, our local author event series celebrating writers, storytellers, and creative voices connected to Chester.

This special event will feature Chester native K. J. Sharpe, an award-winning writer, independent author, entrepreneur, advocate, educator, and performing artist. Her work shares a message of love, healing, self-discovery, and self-love through life’s challenges and triumphs.

Featured works include Broken and Spilled Out: An Abuse Recovery Journal, a guided journal centered on recovery and reclaiming one’s voice; Naked Screaming, a powerful expression of pain, survival, and truth-telling; and Turning Points, a video series reflecting on the moments that shape growth and transformation.

As CEO and Development Specialist for Sharpe Turns LLC and the World Stage Development Project, Sharpe has written, directed, and produced powerful stage works exploring themes such as domestic violence, complicated grief, sustained trauma, healing, and resilience. Two of her plays, CRAZY and THE BRIDE, debuted at the Delaware Theatre Company in Wilmington, Delaware. She has also mentored, advocated for, and educated more than 500 youth in Chester and beyond.

This event is intended for adults ages 18 and over.
