Calling all young creators ages 5–18 (and anyone who just wants to try something new)!
You are invited to take part in the FREE Federal Junior Duck Stamp Art Contest, where art meets wildlife and conservation. Create an original, hand-drawn or hand-painted piece featuring a native North American duck, goose, or swan, and enter to win prizes at the state level, where up to 100 participants will receive prizes. One entry will move on and compete against kids from across the country to have their art featured on a national Junior Duck Stamp. How cool is that?
During the program, participants will be guided step-by-step through a tutorial led by Daniel Garcia, JLCL’s Bilingual Library Services Associate and a real-life Environmental Education Specialist with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
All supplies and materials will be provided, and the library will mail out your masterpieces to be entered in the contest!
