The J. Lewis Crozer Library (JLCL) is committed to fostering a welcoming and safe environment that encourages children to visit, participate in programs, and make use of the library’s collection and computers. Our dedicated team is always ready to support and assist children in making the most of their Library experience.
The JLCL team is not responsible for unattended children. It is required that children under 10 years old be accompanied and supervised by a guardian or caregiver who is at least 13 years old. While our team is committed to helping all library users, they are not equipped to act as childcare providers or to supervise unattended children. The safety and behavior of a child are the responsibility of their guardian or caregiver. We kindly request that these adults stay nearby and maintain visual contact with their children while in the library.
All children are expected to adhere to the Library’s Rules of Conduct. Disruptive children, or those who fail to follow these rules, may be asked to leave the premises. In cases where an unattended child under 10 causes a disturbance or seems to be in distress, a team member may reach out to their guardian or caregiver.
